CN COLLABORATORS TOASTMASTERS

OUR HISTORY

Toastmasters International

Founded in 1924 in California by Ralph Smedley, Toastmasters International has grown into a worldwide organization dedicated to developing communication and leadership skills. Today, it brings together more than 352,000 members across 141 countries.

The original idea was simple: learn to communicate better through practice. By giving speeches, receiving evaluations and taking on leadership roles, members gradually build confidence and develop valuable communication and leadership skills.

CN Collaborators Toastmasters

Founded in 1987, CN Collaborators Toastmasters began as a club for CN employees. Over the years, it evolved into a bilingual, diverse and inclusive club open to everyone.

Our history is built on members supporting one another, sharing experiences and growing together. Every meeting provides opportunities to speak, learn from others and develop leadership skills in a welcoming and respectful environment.

Over the years, our club has received several distinctions, including the President’s Distinguished Club Award, the Smedley Award and Talk Up Toastmasters. Several of our members have also achieved success in District-level speech contests.

Today, CN Collaborators continues that tradition: learning, communicating, leading and growing together.
